Privacy Policy
This page is maintained by HelpsOnRoad to explain how we handle personal information. Last updated: July 2026.
Who we are
HelpsOnRoad connects drivers with nearby roadside assistance providers. This policy covers the HelpsOnRoad website and app ("the service").
Information we collect
- Account details you provide (name, email, phone, role).
- Service request details you submit (location, vehicle, breakdown type, photos, messages).
- Provider business details (company name, service area, rates, insurance partners).
- Technical data (device, browser, IP, log data) needed to operate the service securely.
How we use it
- Match drivers with nearby providers and dispatch jobs.
- Send SMS, email, and in-app notifications about your requests.
- Process payments and generate invoices.
- Keep the service secure and prevent abuse.
- Improve reliability and support.
Who we share it with
We share the minimum information needed to deliver the service: drivers see the matched provider's business details; providers see the driver's request details after accepting a job. We also use trusted subprocessors — hosting and database (Supabase), payments (Stripe), SMS (Twilio), and maps (Google) — under their terms.
Cookies and similar technologies
We use essential cookies and local storage to keep you signed in and to remember session state. We do not sell your data or use third-party advertising trackers.
Data retention
Account and job records are kept while your account is active and for as long as required to meet legal and accounting obligations. You can request deletion by contacting us.
Your rights
You can access, correct, export, or delete your personal information by contacting us at privacy@helpsonroad.com.
